Esta asignatura aporta al perfil del Ingeniero Industrial los elementos básicos para hacer una descripción de un fenómeno de interés por medio de la estimación de los estadísticos necesarios para su análisis a partir de una muestra de estudio seleccionada. Proporciona los elementos para entender los principios probabilísticos aleatorios que rigen las relaciones tanto a priori como a posteriori del fenómeno bajo estudio. Permite conocer el comportamiento que asumen los fenómenos más comunes que pueden ser estudiados por la probabilidad y estadística. Analiza información cuantitativa y cualitativa del campo de la logística y la industria.
COMPETENCIES OF THE SUBJECT
Listening Comprehension
Recognizes basic words and expressions and identifies specific information and the general idea in conversations and speeches where basic information is exchanged about characteristics of technological devices, directions to get to public places, plans and predictions, when buying different products (e.g. clothes, devices, etc.) and about instructions, orders and recommendations about risk situations in the workplace as long as one speaks slowly and clearly.
Reading Comprehension
Understands familiar words and simple phrases and identifies the main idea and specific information or data from advertisements, text messages, infographics, instructions, informal emails, and short, simple articles using skimming and scanning reading strategies.
Oral Expression and Interaction
Participates in simple conversations where the listener helps formulate what is being communicated and the conversation proceeds at a slow pace to exchange personal and work-related information. Asks and answers questions about immediate and everyday needs, such as buying electronic devices and clothing, and give recommendations and explanations about regulations. Also, uses simple phrases and expressions to describe people one knows, their work environment, and the characteristics of jobs and objects.
Writing
Is able to write simple descriptive and opinion texts, to write itineraries, to take notes on information about plans to generate a report, and to write a regulation for the prevention of accidents in the workplace taking into account the parts that make up a paragraph and the structure of the type of text being written.
Identifica y aplica los materiales adecuados en los diferentes procesos industriales de
acuerdo a sus características y propiedades para obtener productos de calidad, bajo costo
y protegiendo al ambiente.
Aplica los principios de la electricidad y electrónica industrial para integrar sistemas productivos y
establecer programas adecuados de mantenimiento industrial.
Caracterización de la asignatura:
Esta asignatura aporta al perfil del Ingeniero Industrial la capacidad para comprender, explicar fenómenos físicos relacionados con procesos de transformación. Para integrarla se ha hecho un análisis identificando los temas de mayor importancia como el sistema de unidades, sistema de fuerzas, momentos, centroides, cinemática del punto y del cuerpo rígido y resistencia de materiales, que tienen una mayor aplicación en el quehacer profesional.
